Leg 1 departs at 6pm from the vibrant Newport on the Levee, through quaint downtown Bellevue and past the development of new million dollar homes along Dayton’s Manhattan Harbour, before circling back to the first relay stop at Bellevue Beach Park.
Leg 2 takes us back through Newport and past the Purple People Bridge, over the Licking River into Covington, across the Roebling Bridge and back to the Covington Landing.
Leg 3 is for the power runner, heading across Covington and up the hill to Devou Park, back past the Behringer-Crawford Museum to the Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky, where the breathtaking view of the Ohio River and Cincinnati skyline will be a worthwhile reward.
Leg 4 brings us down the scenic hillside and back into Newport, where the relay team will rendezvous at General James Taylor Park, running the last half-mile and across the finish line together.
Can I bring a Stroller to the race?
We currently do not allow strollers in the race.
How did this race get its start?
This race was created by the Leadership Northern Kentucky Class of 2016. The class went through a 9 month program and was required to create a project benefiting the communities. This project has now turned into a new signature event for Northern Kentucky, which will continue in future years for the purpose of promoting health, wellness and community vibrancy in our region.
Can I run the race solo?
Yes you can run the entire 15 mile course by yourself. You can also sign up as a team.
Teams are made up of 1, 2 or 4 runners.
Will runners be recieving shirts and medals?
All runners will get a swag bag along with shirts and medals.
