The Heart Mini is Cincinnati’s largest single-day fundraiser and hometown favorite of 40+ years! Each year close to 30,000 registrants come together to participate in a heart healthy exercise and raise life-saving funds to fight the #1 and #5 killers, heart disease and stroke.
This two-day event has an event for every activity level and age including: ½ Marathon; 15K race; 5K race; 2K Kid’s Race; 5K heart walk; 1K Steps for Stroke; Health & Fitness Expo, and Kid’s Fun Run!

Can I register on event weekend?
Yes, either at the Heart Mini Health & Fitness Expo on Saturday, March 9th from 9-5 at the Duke Energy Convention Center or on race day starting at 6:00am near the Starting Line at the First Financial Building (corner of 5th and Sycamore). Registering event weekend does not guarantee that you will receive a shirt.
Can I switch events after I have already registered?
Yes, you can switch events by emailing Katie Flaspohler at [email protected] no later than Wednesday, February 13th. Any changes after the 13th will have to be made at the Expo on Sat., March 9th from 9-5 or at registration on March 10th at the First Financial Building (corner of 5th & Sycamore).
Can I participate in multiple events? If so, how?
This year, we’ve built into the registration process the option to sign up for multiple events- the 1/2 marathon + 5K race, as well as the 15K + 5K race. You will receive a race bib for each event, but only one t-shirt (hence the discounted price). If you would like to participate in both a race and the walk, please only sign up for the race.
Can I get a refund after I have registered?
No, all entries to the Heart Mini are non-refundable and non-transferable. After we have received and accepted your entry, we cannot issue a refund or defer your registration to the next year.
Are there age limits for the kid’s events?
Yes- kids up to the age of 12 are able to participate in the 2K Kids Race on Sunday. On Saturday, the Kids Fun Run is intended for children ages 7 and under, and there is no cost to participate.
When does online registration close?
Wednesday, March 6th at noon.
